Even though Tom Holland’s initial Spider-Man trilogy is ended, the actor still has a bright future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Spider-Man 4 has me incredibly thrilled because of a significant part of his Peter Parker films. My favorite Marvel hero is Spider-Man. Being a huge fan of all three of the character’s film adaptations, 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home was a genuine dream come true and, because it reunited my childhood Spider-Men with Holland’s Peter Parker, it is now my favorite Spider-Man film.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was a major win for Marvel Studios, doing Avengers-level numbers at the box office, with almost $2 billion, and being universally beloved. Following it will be a tough act, no question. That said, I have faith in the new direction the character will be in the MCU after Spider-Man: No Way Home’s ending, and while we still have no details about Spider-Man 4’s plot — and the movie has no director — I would be lying if it weren’t already one my most anticipated MCU projects, and a major trend has to do with that.
