“What was that bullsh*t?”: Fans of Jennifer Lawrence are descending upon her with gusto to disparage her lone Razzie nomination from six years prior

Jennifer Lawrence fans are unable to accept a Razzie nod even after 6 years.

Jennifer Lawrence became a household name through her iconic portrayal of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games series. However, her portfolio is way beyond that role, featuring numerous iconic projects like Winter’s Bone, Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, and Joy. While her work garnered several acclaim and accolades, she also earned a Razzie nomination for worst actress for her performance in Mother!

Even though the movie managed to garner positive reviews overall, her performance garnered polarizing responses from audiences. Given that she’s an Oscar nominee, her fans couldn’t accept that nomination and are yet again to denounce it on social media.

Jennifer Lawrence Fans Addressed Her Razzie Nomination Yet Again!

The 33-year-old actress portrayed the titular role in the 2017 project, Mother! Her performance created quite a buzz on the Internet, with the actress earning critical acclaim for her role. But little did she expect that her work would also nominate her in the Worst Actress category for the Golden Raspberry Awards.

Six years have passed since then, but the Razzie nomination remains a fresh memory for fans, who recently took to social media to express their stance to denounce the nod. While many of her fans were left in disbelief over the Razzie nod, the other faction remained steadfast on how it was well-deserved. Nonetheless, the movie surely presented graphic content and an unconventional narrative that didn’t fit well with everyone. Darren Aronofsky’s directorial was a carefully crafted metaphor, which would make more sense if one knew how to read between the lines. From spine-chilling visuals to a disturbing atmosphere, it would be uncomfortable yet gory for people with weak hearts. The actress herself was aware of how that project would be received among audiences yet she is proud of what she created.
