Grammy-winning artist Lizzo isn’t afraid to express her opinions or express gratitude.
She went on, “She has demonstrated to us that we don’t need to live up to anyone’s expectations in order to be content, imaginative, and deserving. Lizzo has, I know, saved lives. I’m so proud of her since nobody else deserves this accolade.
Lizzo frequently praises her mother on Instagram for her generosity and occasionally surprises her with expensive but well-earned presents. Johnson’s urge to spoil her mother stems in large part from the impact of her father’s death at age 21 and the gifts and time she spends with her dad.
In a Instagram post caption, she notes the effects of their loss, “Ever since daddy passed, you’ve been telling me it’s been hard to dress nicely for yourself,” she wrote. “I know I can’t bring ur best friend back… but I still wanna give you the world,” she says.
The musician captioned the photo, saying, “I remember crying in my car when my daddy passed, no job no money, nowhere to live, wishing I could one day provide for my family.” I’m going to make sure to spoil Mama because I couldn’t do it for my dad. Happy Christmas, everyone.
On May 12, Lizzo updated a post with her mother with the caption: ”I will always love & protect you mommy ❤️ happy Mother’s Day ❤️”
