Jennifer Lawrence at the Golden Globes appreciates understated elegance

Jennifer Lawrence made a case for quiet luxury at the 2024 Golden Globes, walking the red carpet in a timeless, midnight-blue, velvet floor-length gown by Dior and shimmering Tiffany & Co diamond jewellery.

The sleeveless dress featured a relaxed hourglass silhouette and a deep, draped V neckline – and was the very best example of simplicity done well on the red carpet, courtesy of her stylist Jamie Mizrahi. Lawrence was a nominee at this year’s award show, in the running for Actress in a Movie Musical or Comedy for her role in No Hard Feelings, but ultimately lost out to Emma Stone.

Lawrence has long been an advocate of classics when it comes to her red-carpet style, but this particular look really nods to her commitment of ‘stealth wealth’ or ‘quiet luxury’ as it has come to be known. Whether off-duty and walking around New York City, or dressed up for the Golden Globes, Lawrence chooses pieces that are the epitome of understated elegance.

And, the same can be said for her Tiffany & Co jewels, which added just the right amount of dazzle. At the centre of Lawrence’s chest shone a spectacular white-diamond necklace, made up of small square diamonds surrounding a huge teardrop stone. The actress also wore large wing-shaped diamond earrings with blue stones at the centre, a diamond ring, and a silver crystal-embellished clutch by Dior.

Lawrence wore minimal make-up with the look, and her silky, layered, side-parted hairstyle – which looked low-key but undoubtedly wasn’t – was as classic as her ensemble.
