Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s New Orleans mansion, which they owned between 2007 and December last year, is stunning. The couple were the proud owners of the incredible estate for more than a decade, but has now been sold after they broke up.
The celebrity couple left the home after they split in 2016 after a decade together. While they sorted out many of the assets they owned during their relationship (and later marriage), their $3.5 million real-estate home has only just been auditioned off, eight years after they initially parted ways. The property, which is three stories high, was sold in December. The 18th-century building sold for $4.9 million after having a starting bid of just $1 million. Let’s take a look inside.

Brad and Angelina (or Brangelina) quickly became the it-couple of Hollywood after they met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith, an action comedy starring the pair as lovers who aren’t completely truthful about themselves, which throws their marriage into chaos.
At the time of filming, Brad was still dating long-term partner TV sitcom legend Jennifer Aniston. Whereas, Angelina had divorced her second husband, Bill Bob Thornton, two years prior.

The couple became engaged seven years after they met in 2012 with Brad’s manager confirming it to People Magazine in April.
The couple married two years after their engagement in 2014.
Angelina explained planning their big day to People at the time: “We are discussing it with the children and how they imagine it might be.
“Which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding. They will, in a way, be the wedding planners.”
The couple has six children, three were conceived naturally while the others were adopted. They are: Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, 22, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, 20, Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, 19, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, 17, and twins Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt, 15.
Although recently, the eldest daughter, Zahara now goes by Jolie only.

Although, we’re not sure how much time Brad and Angelina spent in their abode. As, two years after they tied the knot, it was announced they were separating.
Announcing their split, the couple released separate statements. While Angelina’s attorney said: “Angelina Jolie Pitt has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time,” Brad said: “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”

In 2017, Angelina told the BBC: “It was a very difficult time. Many people find themselves in this situation. My whole family have all been through a difficult time.”
The celebrity continued: “My focus is my children, our children. We are forever will be a family and so that is how I am coping. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer.”
Meanwhile, that same year, Brad said: “We’re both doing our best. I heard one lawyer say, “No one wins in court – it’s just a matter of who gets hurt worse”. And it seems to be true, you spend a year just focused on building a case to prove your point and why you’re right and why they’re wrong and it’s just an investment in vitriolic hatred. I just refuse.

The home is perfect for entertaining

Their former home features a beautiful winding staircase which is situated by big double doors. The stairs even have a small space under it for an armchair and table topped with a lamp.
The movie stars’ living room featured a splash of color in the form of their couch, which was a royal blue and was decorated with neutural-patterned colors.
They would definitely need a lot of space in the lounge with the big family they have.

Their dining area, although big, seemed to be decorated quite minimally with a gray-marbled wall and a black fireplace by the wooden table fit for their family with eight seats.
It’s the perfect space for entertaining a small group of friends – perhaps even Hollywood producers and directors, given their profession.
Their kitchen was a homeowner’s dream. Keeping with the neutral theme, it features a big island, three ovens, and a huge silver fridge.

One of the family’s bedrooms was big enough to not only house what looks to be a queen-sized bed but also featured several seats – just, you know, in case you wanted to sit and chat!
The end of the bed also has a fireplace, though it’s much smaller than the one in their lounge.
A picture of their white, lavish bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and a lot of storage space. Presumably, this is where Angelina stored her makeup and skincare that keeps her looking fabulous.
