Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence attributed new changes in her look to the talents of Vietnamese-born makeup artist Hung Vanngo, shutting down rumors of cosmetic surgery.
“I call him [Hung Vanngo] a plastic surgeon,” the actress joked when she sat down with Kylie Jenner for a talk, which was published in the Interview Magazine on Nov. 27. “Because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery.”
She cleared the rumor: “I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing makeup.”
Her guest Jenner then confirmed that The Hunger Games’ actress had been “looking amazing” with the Vietnamese-born artist’s new makeup style.
Hung Vanngo, 38, is a New York-based makeup artist who was born in Vietnam. He relocated to Canada at a young age and spent a large part of his early adulthood sketching and painting, which helped him develop what he called “a refined hand and keen eye for color and composition.”
Soon after he moved to New York in 2006, his makeup talent was discovered by various top fashion houses’ photographers.
He has worked with many celebrities beside Lawrence since, including Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Julianne Moore, Katy Perry, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Amy Adams.
Lawrence, 33, began her acting career in 2006. Well-known as an actress that succeeds both commercially and professionally, she has pocketed many prestigious awards including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, three Golden Globe Awards, four Critics’ Choice Awards, and others.
She was the world’s highest-paid actress in 2015 and 2016, according to Forbes.
