According to Eric Kripke, the showrunner and cast of The Boys, season 4 is full of power struggles and the development of several romantic arcs. With the upcoming premiere of season 4 on June 13, the Boys universe continues to expand, incorporating events from past seasons along with storylines from the recently launched Gen V. The Boys’ third and fourth seasons return to the story of Homelander and the heroes’ plot to stop him after the battle against Soldier Boy.

In The Boys season 4, the vigilantes’ time is running out as Homelander continues to gain more power with the public. On the political side, Victoria Neuman (played by Claudia Doumit) is preparing for her own battle with Homelander while still posing a danger to the outcasts in her own right. Annie (Erin Moriarty) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) each do their part to keep the gang together despite dealing with personal and romantic frustrations — not to mention the fact that The Boys season 4 raises the stakes more than ever.
