“Oil Tycoon Puts Luxury San Antonio Condo on the Market for Approximately $3.3 Million”

A two-story penthouse atop a downtown San Antonio condo tower is on the market for nearly $3.3 million.

The home is spacious at 3,850 square feet, and its views are far-reaching, looking out at more than 20 miles of Texas Hill Country through floor-to-ceiling windows, according to the listing with Haley Rodriguez of Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty, who brought the apartment to market last week.

Located within the Arts Residences, which joined the San Antonio skyline in 2020, the duplex has two bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and balconies on both floors.

The home is owned by Rod Lewis, founder, president and CEO of Texas-based oil and gas company Lewis Energy. Lewis is also a dedicated collector of World War II-era planes, to which much of the penthouse’s art is dedicated.

Mansion Global couldn’t not determine how much Lewis paid for the unit as Texas is a non-disclosure state. Lewis was not immediately available for comment.

The interior details are moody and high-end, featuring Venetian plaster, Murano glass chandeliers and brass-clad cabinetry in the otherwise dramatic, black kitchen.

The main living spaces, as well as a balcony and an en-suite guest bedroom, occupy the first floor. A lounge, a study, another balcony and a large primary suite can be found on the second floor.

Additionally, the penthouse comes with a private, gated three-car garage, and building amenities include on-site spa access, room service, a 24-hour concierge and walk-out access to the San Antonio River.
