Drake Makes Surprise Hometown Appearance at 21 Savage’s Concert in Toronto

Toronto got quite the surprise this week.

On Monday, May 27, Drake made a surprise appearance at 21 Savage’s stop in Toronto at the Budweiser Stage for his American Dream tour.

According to fan-captured video footage from the night, the pair performed “Knife Talk” from 2021’s Certified Lover Boy, as well as “Rich Flex” from their 2022 joint album, Her Loss.

“One last time please, everybody in this city that we love so much, please make some noise for my motherf—in’ brother 21 coming out here killing this s—,” the Canadian actor/rapper, 37, told the crowd, per fan-captured footage on X (formerly known as Twitter). “You know I love y’all. I’ll see you soon. Give ’em one more. You home, right? It’s your city.”

Drake and the British-born rapper, 31, previously embarked on a co-headlining tour in 2023, where they enlisted Sexyy Red, Zack Bia and Central Cee as openers.

Recently, 21 was even caught up in Drake’s rap feud with Kendrick Lamar (and others), when the Pulitzer Prize-winning musician, 36, referenced him in the track “Not Like Us” when responding to one of Drake’s “Family Matters” lines.

“You called Future when you didn’t see the club/ Lil Baby helped you get your lingo up/ 21 gave you false street cred/ Thug made you feel like you a slime in your head/ Quavo said you can be from Northside/ 2 Chainz say you good, but he lied,” Lamar rapped, before calling Drake a “f—in’ colonizer.”

The “Prove It” performer is currently in the midst of his North American American Dream tour, which is in support of his third solo studio album that debuted in January.

The string of dates kicked off in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 1 and will wrap up in his hometown of Atlanta on June 15.

Artists including JID, Nardo Wick, and 21 Lil Harold are joining 21 as special guests on the tour.
