She’s rumoured to be considering quitting The Voice Australia.
And Kelly Rowland has made another big life choice recently, splashing out $3.45 million on a lavish new home in the posh Sherman Oaks suburb of Los Angeles.
The 37-year-old former Destiny’s Child star, who shares son Titan, three with her husband Tim Witherspoon has dropped a small fortune on the sprawling property, that boasts five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, within the modern exterior of the house.
The singing sensations was no doubt drawn in by the stunning features boasted by the 4285-square-foot home, which rests behind gates for privacy, and is full of modern appliances as it is newly built.
The open-plan home features an elegant dining room and a living room with a custom fireplace, whilst the brand-new kitchen has professional, top-of-the-line appliances, an oversized quartz stone island, custom tile, and a breakfast nook.
Upstairs in the sprawling manor, the master bedroom boasts a large en-suite bathroom complete with a deep soaking tub, large shower, and his and hers sinks.
And there isn’t a shortage of entertaining spaces for sociable Kelly, as the outside of the home hosts a large stone patio, perfect for having guests over in the Los Angeles sunshine, which also overlooks a sparkling swimming pool and even a spa.
Kelly’s change of scenery comes amid reports that she is also considering a change of career after becoming frustrated with her acts’ lack of success and has been left feeling ‘robbed’ after her team favourites were voted out on The Voice Australia.
New Idea magazine reported on Monday that the former Destiny’s Child superstar is said to have threatened to ‘walk out,’ upset her talent isn’t doing better, with an insider telling the publication that the grievance began after her contestant Fasika Ayallew failed to win last year, which reportedly left her reeling.
‘She feels robbed after her contestant Fasika came third last year,’ the publication reported, and nearly 12 months on, the source reportedly added that it’s still a sore point for the usually bubbly Commander singer.
‘She is still moaning about it now and says she can’t understand what happened,’ the source is reported to have told the women’s magazine.
Kelly resides in Australia with her husband and son during her time on The Voice, but for the Atlanta resident, her permanent space is in Los Angeles. However, a move to Down Under at some point in the future may not have been ruled out, with the singer recently gushing about living in Bondi Beach.
Speaking with Confidential, Kelly said she fell in love with Bondi because of how respectful the residents are to celebrities like her, explaining: ‘I really love it here. People are really respectful, particularly when I am out with me son.
‘One time another mother was talking to my son and then she looked up to me and realised who I was and she quickly said ‘I am such a fan’, then we just got back to talking like mums.’
Speaking about her family recently, the Stole hitmaker gushed over her three-year-old child, admitting he has changed her life.
Speaking to Herald Sun about the impact of welcoming Titan with husband Tim Witherspoon in 2014, Kelly revealed that motherhood forced her to see herself in a different light.
She also described her son as ‘the greatest thing to happen to her’, explaining: ‘Having Titan has made me see myself in a different way. He made me see myself stronger. I want to [create music] he would be proud of. He really is the greatest thing that ever happened to me.’
