Erykah Badu is not impressed.
The “Window Seat” hitmaker, 53, wasted no time rushing to social media to react to Beyoncé’s new country album announcement.
The 32-time Grammy winner unveiled the limited-edition vinyl cover for her eighth studio album “Act II: Cowboy Carter,” on Instagram Wednesday, which showed her pose in the nude with long beaded braids.
Erykah Badu, 53, wasted no time rushing to social media to react to Beyoncé’s new country album announcement.
“Hmmm,” Badu wrote while reposting the cover on her Instagram Story.
“To Jay Z. Say somethin Jay,” Badu wrote on X, asking Beyoncé’s husband to intervene. “You gone let this woman and these bees do this to me?”
While it’s unclear exactly what about the cover struck a nerve, Badu has been known to rock long beaded braids for decades.
Fans hit out at Badu’s comparison, as one fan wrote, “I love erykah badu but this one sided beef has to stop ?? 😃”
“Erykah Badu is such a hater. Beyoncé has worn braids since the beginning of her career. Erykah does not own braids,” another added.
A third wrote, “What is Erykah’s problem with Beyoncé? She shouted her out in a song and Erykah been shady ever since. I’m so confused.”

While Beyoncé has remained tight-lipped, her publicist Yvette Noel-Schure shared a video montage on Instagram of the singer rocking braided hairstyles throughout the years.
“She slays. She slays. Now. Then. Always. act ii COWBOY CARTER 3.29 #criticswithoutcredentials,” she wrote.
It’s not the first time Badu has accused the “16 Carriages” hitmaker of copying her style.

In July, the “On & On” hitmaker posted of the “Heated” singer wearing an oversized metallic hat onstage — similar to the one Badu has been wearing for decades.
“Hmmm,” she wrote alongside a picture of herself wearing a near-identical hat. “I guess I’m everybody stylist.”
The post came just one day after Badu rushed to the comments section of Beyoncé’s Instagram post showing off her hat.
Badu asked Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z to intervene.
“I’m flattered,” she commented.
Throughout her glittering career, Badu has become synonymous with wearing oversized hats during her performances.
