Kim Kardashian has completed major renovations on her lavish $70 million Malibu estate located on billionaire row which began earlier this year.
The SKIMS founder, 42 – who notably purchased the mansion last year in September 2022 – previously gave fans a glimpse of the breathtaking space during an episode of The Kardashians that aired back in July.
The star made a few upgrades when it came to the sprawling outdoor space, such as changing the wrap-around deck flooring from light-colored tile to a smooth concrete for a sleek and modern flare.
She also added monochromatic outdoor furniture – such as comfy white coaches and chairs – to allow the star as well as her family and friends to relax while enjoying the stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
The windows on the four bedroom, six bathroom Mediterranean-style home have also been newly updated to allow natural light to stream indoors throughout the day.
The outside of the estate – which sits on a grand total of three acres of land – also was given a new coat of paint that was done in a light color to match the modern color scheme.
Landscaping was also done on the surrounding hill, while the pool area was also given outdoor furniture.
According to the New York Post, Kim’s Malibu mansion was formerly owned by Cindy Crawford and husband, Rande Gerber, as well as retired hedge funder, Adam Weiss – who had last owned the villa.
The TV personality has access to tennis courts, a swimming pool, a square-shaped spa as well as a cabana. She also has a path that leads down to a private beach just below the estate.
Ahead of the reality star’s own renovations, senior principal of Harrison Design Jesse Harrison, had informed the New York Post of some other upgrades that had previously been made.
‘Our team and clients worked to transform the entire property into a serene, Zen-like oasis embracing the natural palette and materials of southern California,’ he had explained in an article published at the time of Kim’s purchase.
‘In addition to a major refresh to the pool, spa and cabana area, the Harrison Design team also created a motor court, private parking area, interior entry courtyard, and relaxing outdoor space adjacent to the gym.’
While appearing on The Kardashians episode that premiered earlier this year in July, Kim had taken Khloe on a special tour of her newly-bought, Malibu oasis.
The star’s neighbors include other A-list celebrities, such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Neil Diamond.
Kim had taken her sister to check out the new home, revealing she had plans on utilizing the mansion as an ultimate party pad for her friends and family.
She also admitted that owning a home in Malibu was a lifelong dream of hers, and that she literally shed tears on the beach when the deal was finalized.
While the home still needs to be refurbished and remodeled, Kim was quite pleased with her massive purchase, with the outing coming just after learning her ex Kanye West had made some controversial anti-Semitic statements that drove her to tears.
‘I wanna just have a good day with Khloe and not think about anything negative. I just wanna zone out,’ Kim says in confession.
‘So I bought a house in Malibu and this has been a dream of mine forever. It’s just one of those like pinch-me moments where I can’t believe I like achieved a goal that I really didn’t really think was realistic,’ Kim says in confession.
The siblings check out the new home, as Khloe says in confession, ‘Kim’s Malibu house is so beautiful. It’s literally a little oasis. It’s a huge piece of land and she’s right on the beach.’
Kim takes Khloe inside, trying to get her to envision her vision for the home, as they go downstairs and Kim opens the windows herself, which surprises Khloe since she’s doing, ‘manual labor,’ though Kim admits, ‘I thought it was all on a thing.’
They both enjoy the oceanfront view, as Khloe says it’s, ‘so f***ing gorgeous’ adding it, ‘looks like a painting.’
Kim takes Khloe back inside, telling her, ‘so like they’re doing like a big TV there, keeping the little fireplace and having this be like a tiny little TV room,’ adding, ‘this is also gonna be like a party house,’ which confuses Khloe.
‘You just said this was a party house,’ Khloe says, as Kim admits, ‘Yeah, but still with kids. It’s half party and half kids. It still has to be like…’ as Khloe says, ‘So then Disney and Disney After Dark.’
Kim adds in confession, ‘It’s definitely a dream to have a house in Malibu and I think people think like, “They have all this stuff and they do all these things and like it’s so normal.” It’s not normal and we know that.’
‘It wasn’t like, “Oh I got a house in Malibu, no big deal.” It was like, I stood on the beach, like tears down my face, like, holy s**t I did this.’
Khloe tells Kim that this house is, ‘your escape,’ adding, ‘Don’t even tell your kids you have this.’ Kim adds in confession, ‘This house is going to be the craziest memories for all of my kids, all of my nieces and nephews.’
The SKIMS founder also owns a spacious, $60 million mega-mansion located in Hidden Hills, California. The home is sometimes featured on social media, and also her joint TikTok account with daughter, North.
Kim is currently showing off her acting skills in American Horror Story: Delicate, and is also appearing in season 4 of The Kardashians which is currently airing on Hulu – with the next episode slated to air on October 19.
