Fans are hoping that Cardi B’s two new song releases this year won’t be her last ones. After her 2018 debut album Invasion of Privacy, she has released no additional studio albums for an extended period of time. Although she has since released several singles, including “WAP” and “Up,” fans have not stopped clamoring for her much anticipated sophomore album. Cardi has talked about the album a lot and even given her fans constant teases about it. However, she also keeps turning up everywhere, defying requests from her fans for her to focus on a new record.
The most recent location is the Rolling Stone cover, where she recently shot a new photo session and wrote the cover narrative. The title “The Nonstop Hustle Of Cardi B” wasn’t well received by fans, considering how long it had been since her last studio album. She showcases her variety of style with three different looks in the photos she released during the photo shoot. She covers a wide range of topics in the interview, including her unexpectedly heavy behind-the-scenes workload and her plans to vote in the upcoming US election. To the disappointment of her admirers, though, she withholds any information on a new studio album. View her forthcoming issue’s cover below.
Earlier this week, Cardi made and then removed a tweet that might have suggested fans might have to wait even longer than they had anticipated for new music. Cardi stated there wouldn’t be a new album in 2024 in response to a post about how she deserved a vacation from social media so she could unwind. Her fans are holding out hope that a new record may actually exist given that she removed the tweet.
