Taylor Swift delighted a crowd of fans with a dazzling performance of tunes off her new album Lover during an appearance on GMA’s Summer Concert Series in Central Park on Thursday.

She also announced that she will open the 2019 MTV VMAs, which happens to coincide with the 10 year anniversary of her epic Kanye West VMAs moment.

The 29-year-old Grammy winner took the stage in Manhattan in a pair of colorful sequin hot pants and a sheer pink top over a black tank top which she paired with ankle booties.

Taylor kept her medium length blonde tresses down in beachy waves and rocked her signature bold lip in a bright poppy red.

Her stage was set with a massive and stunning flower wall, a floral printed floor and screen that buzzed to live with flowers and words from her songs in a rainbow of pastel tones.

Swift kicked it off with a rendition of her LGBTQ+ anthem You Need to Calm Down and then performed Me (without Brandon Urie), both tracks off of her upcoming album Lover.

Fans, who had camped out over night, were in awe of the star and so were the GMA hosts who crowed the stage with Taylor and even snapped some seflies with the A-lister.

As a treat for her dedicated Swifties who spent the night waiting in line, Taylor enlisted the help of her team, along with father Scott Swift, and delivered pizza to the crowd.

Actress Tiffany Haddish and Bachelorette Hannah Brown, who were also a guests on GMA, got to watch the concert from a prime position and managed to slip in on the selfie action.

Along with her rocking performance, Taylor sat down for a one-on-one with Robin Roberts.

During their chat, Taylor opened up about re-recording her earlier tracks which were purchased out from under her earlier this year when the singer’s old record company sold them to Scooter Braun.

‘It’s something I’m very excited about,’ Taylor told Roberts. ‘My contract says starting from November 2020 I can start re-recording albums one through five.’

In addition to re-doing all her earlier albums, Taylor is excited about dropping her latest, Lover.

‘Something that’s very special to me about this album is it’s the first one that I will own,’she said.

She added: ‘I think it’s important for artists to own their work. I’m gonna be busy, I’m very excited.’

Lover is the singer’s seventh studio album and it’s set to be released on Friday, August 23, with anticipation higher than ever.

Swift is also scheduled to open the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards on August 26, where she’s also nominated for 10 awards, tied for the most this year with Ariana Grande.

She’s up for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Editing, Video for Good and Best Art Direction for You Need To Calm Down.
