It’s the role that took her from small-time actress to Hollywood superstar.
But Margot Robbie was convinced she’d blown her chances at ever acting again when she got carried away during her Wolf Of Wall Street audition, slapping Leonardo DiCaprio across the face in front of director Martin Scorsese.
The stunning star has opened up about the most nerve-wracking moment of her life during a new interview with the April 2015 issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK.

Recalling the moment that made her career, Margot said: ‘In my head I was like, “You have literally 30 seconds left in this room and if you don’t do something impressive nothing will ever come of it.
‘It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance, just take it. And so I start screaming at him [Leo] and he’s yelling back at me. And he’s really scary. I can barely keep up.
‘[A] part of my brain clicks and I just go, Whack! I hit him in the face. And then I scream, “F**k you!” And that’s not in the script at all. The room just went dead silent and I froze.’

Margot joked she was never expecting to get the part after her bold move and was envisioning being carted off to the police station.
She laughed: ‘I’m thinking, “You just hit Leonardo DiCaprio in the face. They’re going to arrest you because that’s assault. You’re definitely never going to work again, that’s for sure.

‘They’ll probably sue you as well in case there’s a bruise on his face and he needs to film something else.”‘
The 24-year-old star poses in a series of feminine and flirty looks in the accompanying photo shoot.
Wearing designs from the likes of Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli and Valentino, Margot looks every inch the leading lady in the images taken by renowned photographer David Slijper.
The blonde beauty has certainly come a long way since her debut on Australian soap opera Neighbours, and is currently starring opposite Will Smith in new movie Focus.
