Khloe Kardashian has shared a heartfelt message to her personal trainer Gunnar Peterson and said she is ‘praying’ for him and his family after he revealed his four-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with cancer.
Gunnar, who has also trained the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Kate Beckinsale, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share photos of daughter Monroe Vivian Peterson in hospital – explaining that she has AML leukemia and needs to have chemotherapy as well as a bone marrow biopsy.
Describing the news as a ‘life-changing turn’, Gunnar urged his 425,000 followers to hold ‘perfect’ Monroe in their hearts as he revealed he and his wife decided to take her to hospital after noticing that she had a ‘nagging cough’ and an ‘on and off fever’ as well as ‘bruising on her legs.’
Mother-of-two Khloe, 39, was quick to comment on Gunnar’s heartfelt post and wrote: ‘G! Oh my heart!! I am so so so sorry for you and your family!! If there’s something I can say for certain, she’s a warrior just like her mommy and daddy!! G I’m here if you need anything! I love you and your family and I’m praying for you all!’

‘Our perfect four-year-old daughter, Monroe Vivian Peterson (MVP, see that?!) had a nagging cough, on and off fever, and an odd pallor to her for a few days last week. Typical kid stuff.
‘Then my wife noticed bruising on her legs which was odd since she hadn’t been very active because of the other symptoms, and she took her to the hospital,’ he continued.
Gunnar went on to list what doctors had discovered and the next steps for Monroe.
‘Fast forward four days: White blood cell count KO’d. Platelets in the toilet. Hemoglobin number lower than a soccer game final. Hematocrit front row on the struggle bus. Needs immediate transfusion(s). Has to have bone marrow biopsy. Flow cytometry. Spinal tap(s). Chemotherapy. And finally, Make-A-Wish candidate.
‘She has AML leukemia. How the f*#! did we get here?!?! More to come as we navigate the nightmare… Our Warrior Princess will crush this! She has even said it herself!’ he said.
‘Please hold our daughter, and our family – immediate and extended – in your hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
‘As we are all aware you never know what someone is going through. Already too many thank yous owed so I will spread them out as this unfolds,’ Gunnar added.
