Scarlett revealed that when she would get stressed out while filming a movie because of her acne outbreaks.
‘It was terrible. I would cover my acne before I even got to the makeup chair just so that I didn’t feel so exposed. It really does affect how you feel about yourself and you just want to scrub it away.’
Adding that at the time, the star tried ‘every kind of acne peel and mask and resurfacing polish’ before she realized’ that those particular products were too harsh for her skin.
She ended up starting a routine of just cleansing, toning and moisturizing.

Scarlett co-founded the brand The Outset with Kate Foster, launching it in March of this year.
The brand is vegan and cruelty free with six products, the latest ones being their Exfoliating Caffeine Micro Polish.
The Outset also features the restorative niacinamide night cream, smoothing vitamin C eye + expression lines cream, gentle micellar antioxidant cleanser, firming vegan collagen prep serum and the nourishing squalane daily moisturizer.

Scarlett was asked by People what makes her brand stand out versus other celebrity beauty brands, to which she said: ‘I always anticipate that there’s going to be some level of skepticism because I’ve experienced it in my movie life too.’
‘But I feel confident about our products – they’re just so reliable. The transparency of what’s in the line and what’s it doing sets it apart.’
The blonde beauty also revealed that she enjoys a ‘deep, painful massage’ as a way to relax, and that she is very high-maintenance when it comes to organization.
