Real Madrid given deadline to table offer for €70 million-rated full-back target

Alphonso Davies’ future has been a much-talked-about topic in recent weeks as Real Madrid pursue the left-back while Bayern Munich fight to convince him to sign a new contract.

The 23-year-old left-back, whose current market value stands at €70 million, is one of the top targets for Los Blancos heading into the summer.

With his contract expiring in 2025, Bayern Munich are trying to persuade him to pen an extension and stay put at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern Munich set deadlines

Now, MARCA reports that Bayern Munich do not want the Davies’ situation to drag along for long and have set a deadline for the matter to reach a conclusion, one way or another.

Davies has until the beginning of April to say yes to the renewal offer that the German champions have tabled or to bring an offer from outside that could mean that Bayern sit down to negotiate, in this case with Real Madrid.

Los Blancos have been laying the groundwork for the operation for almost a year, making the Canadian left-back aware of their interest in signing him.

Bayern Munich are aware of everything that is happening around Davies and are seeking a quick resolution on the matter. They don’t want to lose the player, but if they have no other choice, he will be sold.

Negotiations to start at €50 million

As per the report, Bayern Munich are clear that they will not give Davies away for cheap despite his contractual situation.

As such, a figure of €50 million will be the starting point for negotiations, with the idea being to finalise everything before the end of the season.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have a good working relationship and with Davies having his heart set on the switch, the two clubs must now sit and negotiate to reach an agreement.
