The Super Bowl MVP shared a workout with new teammate Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and the Chiefs’ Rashee Rice, who sported a shirt depicting a shirtless Mahomes
For Patrick Mahomes, the off-season is still “#DadBodSZN”!
On Wednesday, the Super Bowl MVP posted on Instagram two photos of himself in a gym, alongside his new teammate Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice — who was seemingly in on the joke.
Rice wore a shirt featuring the viral photo of a shirtless Mahomes celebrating the Chiefs’ AFC Championship win.
The image — which shows a backwards ball cap-wearing Mahomes giving his Chiefs teammates a pep talk in the locker room after they secured their spot in the Super Bowl — was shot at an unflattering angle which led many on social media to question Mahomes’ fitness.
But it was something even the three-time Super Bowl champ had a sense of humor about.
“Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!?,” Mahomes wrote in a post on X at the time, adding three laughing emojis and the hashtag, “#DadBodSzn.”
Quoting his own post on the app, Mahomes added, “Like I got kids!!!” and tagged the official accounts for the Chiefs, the NFL and Inside the NFL.
His “dad bod” certainly didn’t hold him back as Mahomes secured his third Super Bowl win and another MVP award in February.
Mahomes and wife Brittany recently celebrated the Chiefs’ successful season with a trip to Los Cabos, Mexico, with the kids — Sterling and Bronze — in tow.
The high school sweethearts — who tied the knot in March 2022 — both shared snaps from their stay at the stunning beachside hotel Chileno Bay Resorts & Residences and adjoining Chileno Bay Golf & Beach Club earlier this month. Photos and videos from their trip showed the family lounging by the pool while Bronze clutches a football, spending some time at the serene golf course and more.
Last weekend, the couple, who are owners of the KC Current, celebrated the opening of the soccer franchise’s CPKC Stadium in Kansas City.
A day later, they were courtside in Dallas, Patrick in Louis Vuitton and Brittany in Prada, at the Mavericks-Nuggets game where they saw the home team beat Denver on a last-second left-hand hook shot by Kyrie Irving.
