A hilarious clip has resurfaced of Margot Robbie revealing how she ended one of the worst dates of her life.

In the footage, which was filmed during the press for 2016 film Suicide Squad,the Australian actress recalls how she asked out a waiter while she was on a date with another man.

‘I was once on a date. It was going so bad that I ended up asking out the waiter that was serving us on the date instead,’ she confessed.

‘But I asked the guy I was on the date with first,’ she insisted, adding: ‘I was like, ‘This is going, like [terribly]. Would you be offended?”.

‘He was like, “Go for it”,’ she added.

It’s not the only time Margot, who is married to British producer Tom Ackerley, has spoken about asking waiters to go on date.

Back in 2015, the then-24-year-old revealed to Mario Lopez on the Oscars red carpet that she had no qualms about making the first move.

‘I was out to dinner, I was walking out and he’s like, ‘Okay see you later’, and I was like, ‘Are you gonna call me?” she cheekily revealed.

‘He’s like, “Call you? I don’t have your number”, and then I grabbed a pen and wrote my number on his arm.’

Shocked at her own confidence and execution, she admitted to the host: ‘It went so smoothly and things never go smoothly for me, so I was really psyched about it.’

Speaking to Vogue about their meeting in 2016, Margot said: ‘I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me.’

‘We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him. And then it happened, and I was like, Of course we’re together.’

The pair married in 2016.
