Margot Robbie looks like a human Barbie doll in mini dress while promoting the movie in Mexico with Ryan Gosling, amid sequel rumors.

Margot Robbie has been looking like a human Barbie doll all year as she plugs her new July movie based on the popular Mattel toy.

The Australian-born beauty flashed a megawatt smile as she appeared flawless in a skintight Pucci-designed multicolored print minidress while at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico for a photo call.

The 33-year-old Hollywood staple added pointy pink stiletto heels and a light pink quilted Chanel handbag with a gold logo.

And dangling from her ears were oversized neon pink Chanel earrings with the double cc logo and rhinestones.

By her side was her costar Ryan Gosling who is playing Ken in the highly anticipated movie that opens July 21 in the US. Also making an appearance was Ugly Betty vet America Ferrera.

This appearance comes after talk that there could already been a Barbie 2 on the minds of movie executives.

What a doll! Margot Robbie has been looking like a human Barbie doll all year as she plugs her new movie based on the Mattel toy. And she did it again on Friday

The Pucci mini dress used the classic 1960s-inspired print with colors next to each other.

The purse was from Chanel and was a small structured bag that looked like it could not fit much.

Her legs looked toned and tanned as she modeled classic pointy pumps in a shock pink color.

Her hair was worn down in loose mermaid waves as her makeup went on the light side with calming pink tones.

Ryan looked like he was in character as he showed off his muscles in a short-sleeved light turquoise button down shirt, adding slacks.

His sandy blonde hair was coiffed in a Ken style and he appeared to be spray tanned.

Also at the event was actress Ferrera. The 39-year-old Los Angeles native looked elegant in a nude-colored cocktail dress.

It was nice to see Ryan in Mexico because last wee he pulled out of promoting Barbie in South Korea.

However, due to ‘inevitable circumstances’, he was forced to skip the promo event. Warner Bros. Korea said in a statement: ‘Ryan Gosling is hoping to meet with you through another opportunity.’

However, Margot and Ferrera (Gloria) joined director Greta Gerwig for the press and fan gathering.

Seeing double! Here is Barbie in the exact same dress and heels giving new meaning to product placement

A Barbie pop-up opened yesterday in Hannam-dong, central Seoul, and will remain open until July 31.

Gosling recently insisted he laughed off being told he’s ‘too old’ to play Ken.

He told GQ: ‘I would say, you know, if people don’t want to play with my Ken, there are many other Kens to play with.

‘It is funny, this kind of clutching-your-pearls idea of, like, #notmyken. Like you ever thought about Ken before this? And everyone was fine with that, for him to have a job that is nothing. But suddenly, it’s like, ‘No, we’ve cared about Ken this whole time.’

‘No, you didn’t. You never did. You never cared. Barbie never f***** with Ken. That’s the point. If you ever really cared about Ken, you would know that nobody cared about Ken. So your hypocrisy is exposed. This is why his story must be told.

‘I care about this dude now. I’m like his representative. ‘Ken couldn’t show up to receive this award, so I’m here to accept it for him.”

Also this week, Robbie’s body double has revealed what life was like on the set of the Barbie movie.

Emma Eastwood was first hired as a hand double for leading actress Margot – who plays the iconic doll in Greta Gerwig’s new film – but ended up filming additional scenes filling in for the star and she’s explained that even after two weeks on set, she still has no clue what the movie is actually about.

She told the New York Times: ‘I was on this for two weeks, and I barely know what the movie is about … [the production team] did a very good job of keeping the plot hidden.

‘There were a couple times they said the whole cast would be there and it would be an important day, but they never actually gave me any details of what we would be doing until I was on set.’

She also recalled being asked to lie face down on the ground for an hour in a shoot that left her baffled and feeling a little tipsy.

Emma explained: ‘When I got up, I literally felt drunk. I have no idea what that scene was about.’

She also revealed life on set was tough as she was often up before dawn to be on set for 6am and spent hours in hair and make-up getting ready to be Barbie, but she was thrilled to be given her own trailer, adding that she felt ‘really spoiled’.

A little extra: Also making an appearance was Ugly Betty vet America Ferrera who was elegant in a nude-colored dress

Emma shared some pictures from her time on the movie on her Twitter page and shared her joy at being part of the Barbie experience.

She wrote: ‘Had the best experience of my life and will absolutely never shut up about it.’

Meanwhile, Mattel is already planning a Barbie sequel.

The toy manufacturer’s CEO Ynon Kreiz is open to expanding  Gerwig’s upcoming blockbuster into a franchise, with early discussions underway.

He told Time magazine that there is a possibility of ‘more Barbie movies’.

Robbie herself is less certain, noting that while there have been talks, nothing is set in stone.

She explained: ‘It could go a million different directions from this point. But I think you fall into a bit of a trap if you try and set up a first movie whilst also planning for sequels.’

Kreitz noted that Mattel has a clear goal to create something that goes beyond simple being a toy advert, pointing to the importance of working with creative people like Greta and her partner Noah Baumbach, with whom she wrote the script.

The Mattel boss added: ‘We’re looking to create movies that become cultural events. If you can excite filmmakers like Greta and Noah to embrace the opportunity and have creative freedom, you can have a real impact.’

Emphasising the company’s goal, Kreitz insisted the team are not focused on the idea of using the film to create more sales.

Barbie 2: There has been talk of a sequel to the Barbie movie, and Margot has added it could go in any direction

He said: ‘It’s not about making movies so that we can go and sell more toys. We’ve been doing well selling toys without movies.’

He noted that the firm is changing from ‘a toy-manufacturing company’ into one that is firmly in the franchise business.

He explained: ‘The most important transition was from being a toy-manufacturing company that was making items to becoming an IP company that is managing franchises.’
