And it could finally mark the long-awaited return of Irish brawler McGregor.
He has not fought since losing to Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
McGregor has been locked in talks with White over a comeback clash in the last month.
And it was hoped he would get back in the octagon at UFC 300 on April 13.
White has since dashed McGregor’s chances of appearing at the landmark event.
But he hinted that Notorious is likely to fight again this year, most likely in autumn.
He told the Jim Rome Show: “Conor will fight this year, I’m thinking the fall, sometime in the fall. He won’t be on 300.”
Fans took White’s words to imply that McGregor will indeed be starring at the Las Vegas Sphere in September.
The incredible arena opened just six months ago following a four-year construction plan costing £1.9bn.
It has since hosted a residency by Irish rockers U2, but will soon host other music and sporting events.

Another declared: “McGregor vs Diaz announcement would break MMA Twitter.”
One added: “McGregor vs Diaz for 306? That would be way better than Chandler vs McGregor.”
