Conor McGregor highlights his ‘huge balls’ in seven-word response to Ilia Topuria call out at UFC 298

Conor McGregor has responded to being called out at UFC 298.

MMA’s biggest star watched from home as Ilia Topuria won his old featherweight title by knocking out Alexander Volkanovski inside two rounds in California on Saturday night.

Moments after becoming the first Spanish champion in company history, ‘El Matador’ asked to headline a card in his home country and suggested ‘Notorious’ should be his opponent.

“Conor McGregor, if you still have some balls, I will be waiting for you in Spain,” Topuria said during his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan.

Topuria’s call-out quickly began circulating online, and it wasn’t long before the former dual-weight UFC champion stumbled across the quotes on ESPN’s MMA Instagram page.

Rather than address the fact he’d been challenged to a fight, McGregor opted to respond literally to Topuria questioning if he has testicles by pointing out he’s fathered several children with his long-time partner Dee Devlin.

“I’ve got huge balls, I’ve got 4 kids,” he commented.

The Irishman stopped short of revealing if he has any interest in the bout, but UFC CEO Dana White quickly ruled out Topuria fighting McGregor next during his press conference after UFC 298. “

He said: “You know how this works, you fight all the best in the world.”

“He just won the title. He looks like a guy who could be one of the all-time greats. You’ve gotta clean out that division and once you do then you figure out what’s next.

“I don’t think we’ll ever see Conor McGregor at 145lbs [again].

“I don’t think it ever happens, but everyone wants to fight Conor.”

McGregor has been sidelined since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021 – but he has wanted to return for some time.

White hopes to see the 35-year-old face lightweight contender Michael Chandler this Autumn but says the fact McGregor is extremely wealthy is making it hard for them to nail down a date.

Whatever happens, he won’t be facing Topuria any time soon, and it seems like McGregor only responded to the call out to brag about his ‘huge’ private parts.
