The big Super Bowl celebration happened to fall on Valentine’s Day this year.
Heading into the Super Bowl victory parade on Wednesday, Feb. 14, Patrick Mahomes made sure the football-centered party didn’t overshadow the love-filled holiday that is Valentine’s Day, giving his wife Brittany a sweet gift during the parade.
While at the event, Brittany updated fans with a photo on her Instagram Stories of Patrick giving her a single red rose with a smile on his face, with text over it reading, “He didn’t forget😂.” It might not be an extravagant gift, but the quarterback made sure to celebrate his love somehow.
The NFL shared the snap on X, writing, “A Valentine’s Day parade ❤️🌹.”

“A great player and a great husband,” declared a fan who found the moment sweet, as others complimented the couple with notes like, “Hahah cute 💕,” “AWWWWW😭😭😭😭😭😭,” and “Their love story is dream 😭❤️💛.”
Fans loved the couple during the parade as well, with one video showing Brittany excitedly running around while carrying the Chiefs’ flag while her husband was high-fiving fans with his shirt off.
“@BrittanyLynne with the @Chiefs flag @PatrickMahomes already shirtless. This parade is off to an incredible start. 😂,” read the NFL’s caption.

“This whole team is electric,” wrote one Chiefs fan, while another called the clip a “Great moment” from the victory parade.
The Feb. 14 celebration followed the Chiefs’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas, with the team winning with a score of 25 to 22.
Many eyes were on the big game, with some highlights being the Halftime Show with Usher, Taylor Swift partying with friends like Blake Lively in the suite, and, of course, Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s romantic reunion on the field after the game. The Chiefs then had an exciting afterparty and a club that continued late into the night.
