Max Verstappen suffers embarrassing defeat as Red Bull star crashes TWICE at Monaco Grand Prix

Max Verstappen and Red Bull suffered an embarrassing defeat during FP2 at the Monaco Grand Prix, as Isack Hadjar crashed twice in the session.

However, Hadjar clipped the wall at the Nouvelle Chicane and damaged the rear of his Racing Bulls, instantly prompting a red flag before crashing again at the exit of Sainte-Devote.

The Frenchman was not the only driver to crash in FP2 with Oscar Piastri also making an uncharacteristic error, colliding with the barriers at Sainte-Devote.

Leclerc collided into the back of Stroll when he tried to overtake at the hairpin, but the Aston Martin moved to the racing line and blocked Leclerc’s entry into the corner.

Stroll was ruled out of the first practice session due to damage from the crash, with the gearbox and rear suspension in need of changing before FP2.
