Russell Wilson clearly knows how to endorse himself. Last year, when the quarterback joined the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was fired up too. “What’s up Steeler Nation. Fired up to wear the black and gold. Here we go.” Shortly after signing his one-year contract with the Steel City, Wilson hyped up his entry. Now, once again, as Mr. Unlimited is trying his luck with the New York Giants, the QB has a special message for MetLife Stadium.
Along with this, Russell Wilson kept the vibe alive with a two-word caption: “Already Home.” His caption surely suggests that the new Giants quarterback is rekindling his Super Bowl memories, which he won in 2013 at the same stadium against the G-Men.
Just last month, the QB dropped a similar message when it was confirmed that he was signing with the new team. That time too, he recalled his best football memory by saying, “I have some amazing memories here.” Russell Wilson is pretty confident that he can win another Lombardi in New York, that’s the reason his hyped-up statements and posts are not ending soon.
For instance, take another reel video post of this week by the gunslinger. In that featured update, Russell Wilson showed off the team’s professional tailor sewing his name on his new jersey. And with the caption – “New threads for Russell Wilson,” Giants showed their love and excitement for their QB. Wow! The entire team is exhilarated with his coming. But there might be a twist which many of us won’t be expecting!
No doubt, Russell Wilson is ready to take the battle in his hands fighting for the Big Blue. But wait, if you are thinking that Mr. Unlimited will start off with the season, think again! According to Mike Florio, “I think that Winston will be a fan favorite. I think there will be locker room support for Jameis Winston. You have the guy who is the ultimate authentic version of himself as the backup with the guy who is the ultimate manicured watch what you say play the role of a guy who’s pretending to be an NFL starting quarterback as the starter.” Wow, that’s will be a huge surprise which many, including Wilson might have not seen coming.
But why did Florio say that? Well, as per the PFF’s analyst, “If Russell Wilson doesn’t perform well and there’s reason to believe he won’t- there’s reason to believe that the Steelers didn’t want him around because of the current state of his physical abilities. Winston beat Russell Wilson in what Winston calls the most iconic snow game of all time.”
