Scarlett Johansson revealed she is launching her own beauty brand after taking ‘a step back from’ endorsing other brands over the past few years.
The Black Widow star, who previously served as an ambassador for L’Oreal Paris and Dolce & Gabbana’s fragrance line, opened up about her being ‘fascinated by the transformative power of beauty since’ she was a child.
‘My mother instilled in me a passion for self care from my early teenage years’ the 36-year-old actress told WWD.

She continued: ‘Several years ago, I took a step back from my beauty deals with the goal of creating something true to me. The result is a clean, accessible approach to beauty.’
Her brand, which is set to come out early next year, will also be under the helm of former Juicy Couture executive, Kate Foster, who will serve as co-founder and CEO.
Meanwhile, Johansson will serve as the founder and chairman.

Johansson also told Allure she ‘created this brand to elevate clean’ and its for ‘everyone who wants their skin to look its best with minimal effort.’
She is the latest celebrity, like Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Lady Gaga, Millie Bobby Brown, Alicia Keys and Jessica Alba and Drew Barrymore, to launch a beauty brand.
Last year, the Marriage Story star tied the knot with husband Colin Jost while the world was in lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

‘I think just keeping it intimate and small made it feel intentional,’ she said to People Magazine. ‘We wanted it to feel like it had an intentional intimacy as opposed to being something that felt like we were restricted by all these things.’
Scarlett also insisted she and Colin followed all the COVID-19 ‘protocol’ in planning and hosting their wedding.
Elsewhere in the People interview, Scarlett confirmed Marvel fans will finally find out what happened during the Budapest mission in the upcoming Black Widow, which comes out on July 9.
