“I have just started becoming really rude and withdrawn”: Jennifer Lawrence reveals why she won’t say yes to a fan’s selfie request.

She’s become a global phenomenon thanks to a lead role in a movie franchise, an Academy Award and her rather quirky nature.

But Jennifer Lawrence revealed to the Daily Telegraph, a downside to fame.

The 26-year-old told the publication: ‘I have just started becoming really rude and drawn into myself,’ otherwise her reality will become talking to strangers and fulfilling selfie requests on a daily basis.

‘I think that people [strangers] think that we already are friends because I am famous and they feel like they already know me – but I don’t know them,’ Jennifer shared.

‘I have to protect my bubble, like, ‘I have a weird job – don’t let this be a reality,’ she continued.

It’s no surprise the blonde beauty would be inundated with selfie requests, as one of the industry’s most well-paid actors.

Despite the candid confession, Jennifer often uses her celebrity status to help others.

Christmas Eve saw the Hunger Games star visit Norton Children’s Hospital in her hometown – Louisville, Kentucky, according to Wave 3 News.

Jennifer beamed for the cameras, while posing with children, their families and also hospital staff members.

This is not the first time Jennifer has taken time out to bring joy and smiles to her local community; she also stopped by the same hospital last year as well.

The Silver Linings Playbook star looked lovely in a cream knitted sweater with black leggings and lace-up boots.

She styled her short blonde tresses in loose waves, opting for a deep side part.

Just recently, her Jennifer Lawrence Foundation had a special early screening of her film Passengers before it hit theatres – to benefit the American Heart Association’s fundraiser.

All proceeds go toward AHA’s fundraiser for Jefferson County Public Schools.

 

According to her foundation’s website, the goal is to assist and empower ‘charitable organizations that fulfill children’s vital needs and drive arts awareness and participation.’
