Avatar 4 and 5 get a new filming update from Miles Quaritch actor Stephen Lang ahead of the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash later this year. After serving as the central villain in James Cameron’s 2009 original film, Lang’s Quaritch returned to serve the same function in 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water. The antagonist is now set to play a role in the story for Avatar: Fire and Ash, which releases in December, and two more films, scheduled for 2029 and 2031, are expected to wrap up the epic saga. In a recent interview with Collider, Lang reveals that he now believes he has completed filming as Quaritch for all the remaining Avatar sequels. Though he admits that he could be required to come back at some point for supplementary filming of some sort, this is an intriguing update given the final film is still six years away from actually releasing in theaters.
