The Mummy 4 (2025) – First Trailer | Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz

With rumors of a possible fourth episode that would see the eagerly anticipated return of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, fans of The Mummy franchise may have cause for celebration. Several reports suggest that preliminary talks are underway for a new sequel that would bring the adored stars of the original movies back together, even though Universal has not yet made any announcements.

The last proper entry in the franchise, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), saw Fraser’s Rick O’Connell facing off against Jet Li’s resurrected Chinese warlord. However, the absence of Weisz, who was replaced by Maria Bello as Evelyn O’Connell, left many fans disappointed. Since then, there have been numerous rumors about a fourth film, but nothing has materialized—until now.

With Brendan Fraser’s career resurgence following his Oscar-winning performance in The Whale (2022), many believe Universal is eager to capitalize on the renewed audience interest in the actor. Likewise, Rachel Weisz has remained a fan-favorite, and bringing back the original duo could be the key to reigniting the franchise’s magic.
