Gyllenhaal plays the lead role as a UFC star who begins working as a bouncer at a rowdy bar in the Florida.

That is where McGregor comes into the action in what appears to be the film’s main antagonist and rival to Gyllenhaal.

In the movie’s trailer released by MGM Studios, McGregor makes a notoriously grand entrance.

The Irishman, wearing an open shirt walks into a bar and says: “Hey, fellas. Looks like you’re having a smashing night.”

McGregor’s character then proceeds to smash up the bar with a golf club and while onlookers panic, Gyllenhaal’s remains calm.

In a heated scene, McGregor then tells Gyllenhaal: “I’ve got a tip for ya, don’t let no one get this close.”

He then headbutts Gyllenhaal sparking a brawl between them.

In another scene, McGregor drives a yellow sports car and tells another character: “Once Knox is on the job, it’s over, baby.”

A one-on-one fight scene between McGregor and Gyllenhaal is also teased in the Amazon Prime move, set for a March 21 release.

Fans were in awe of McGregor’s performance in the trailer as one said: “Give Conor McGregor the Oscar.”

Another added: “And the Oscar for outstanding lead performance in a film goes to.. CONOR MCGREGOR! ROADHOUSE!”

One hailed: “What a performance.” Adding a fire emoji.

McGregor, 35, has been out of action since July 2021 when he broke his leg in the first round of his last fight.

Filming for Roadhouse began in August of 2022 in the Dominican Republic while the ex-UFC champion was recovering from his leg break.

He is set to return in 2024 after three years out and announced he would do so in June against Michael Chandler, 37.

But UFC president Dana White has since DENIED McGregor’s claim and insisted no date or opponent for his return has been finalised.
