Conor McGregor saw one of his most memorable UFC moments come full circle at a recent Bare Knuckle FC press conference.
UFC superstar Conor McGregor has fully embraced his role as a part-owner of Bare Knuckle FC since he joined the promotion’s chain of command. Less than a full year into his ownership stake, McGregor has already significantly impacted BKFC’s global viability, attracting a new audience to bare-knuckle fighting and fast-tracking the promotion’s growth.
McGregor envisions competing in the BKFC ring at least once before he hangs up the gloves. But McGregor also targeted a potential UFC return for later this year, despite increasing skepticism about the former two-division titleholder’s MMA comeback.
In the meantime, McGregor remains focused on doing everything he can to help BKFC grow its audience worldwide. McGregor was one of the star attractions at BKFC’s recent press conference ahead of its event on April 26th in Italy.
BKFC star Lorenzo Hunt pays homage to Conor McGregor’s belt snipe
McGregor is accustomed to fiery press conferences, after picking apart his earlier UFC opponents with mental warfare and tense moments on the mic. His verbal and mental beatdown of UFC Hall of Famer José Aldo set the standard for mind games in MMA, as their pre-fight theatrics set the stage for McGregor’s 13-second knockout at UFC 194.
During the buildup to UFC 194, McGregor infamously stole Aldo’s built during a pre-fight press conference in Dublin. The two featherweights nearly brawled on stage after McGregor sniped the belt, and the gesture gave the Irish superstar the upper hand in the pre-fight mind games.
At Sunday’s BKFC Italy pre-fight press conference, McGregor bore witness to one of BKFC’s biggest names mimicking his belt steal as he trash-talked his upcoming opponent.
During the BKFC Italy presser, Lorenzo Hunt stole Chris Camozzi’s cruiserweight belt after showing up fashionably late to the media festivities.
