Cigar-smoking Conor McGregor mobbed by fans as he arrives in Italy for BKFC press conference

Conor McGregor is still a massive star despite not fighting since breaking his leg in July 2021.

Most sportspeople would fade into obscurity during such a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

However, Conor McGregor has managed to stay in the spotlight by linking up with Bare Knuckle FC.

On Sunday, he’ll host a press conference to promote the league’s upcoming show in Florence, Italy.

Conor McGregor mobbed by Italian MMA fans

Viral footage shows McGregor arriving in a BKFC-themed car before being mobbed by fans.

Dozens of camera-wielding people tried to get a glimpse of ‘Notorious’ before he headed into his hotel.

The Irishman, who had a cigar in his mouth, appeared to savor every bit of love from the Italian fight fans.

McGregor gave out a bunch of high fives as a multiple-man security team tried to ensure his safe passage through the excited crowd of people.

Eventually, he made it into the venue to prepare to host a press conference in less than 24 hours time.

When will Conor McGregor fight again?

McGregor has recently been trying to make a $500 million exhibition boxing bout with Logan Paul.

Unfortunately for him, UFC boss Dana White is not a fan of the matchup and has shut it down.

White originally claimed that his biggest star will return to the UFC Octagon before the end of 2025.

More recently, he’s acted unsure about McGregor’s first fight since facing Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

“Conor? I’m not sure when Conor will be back,” White sighed after UFC Saudi Arabia on February 1.

Perhaps McGregor will shed some light on his eagerly anticipated comeback at his BKFC press event.
