It was just yesterday that word got around that Ricky Starks was finally done with AEW and free and clear to sign elsewhere. Theoretically, then, he could appear on any episode of WWE television. We didn’t have to wait long to find out which.

Indeed, Starks showed up on NXT this week to cut a brief promo from the crowd, who responded to him like he was a big star.

“It’s obvious you know who I am. If NXT is the future of professional wrestling, well guess what? You need an absolute superstar of the future. If this is the hottest brand, well you need the hottest free agent right now, baby.

“Do not let the handsome face and expensive fragrance fool you, I am here to turn this place upside down. And everybody’s been begging the question: when will the revolution be televised again? Well, I’m here, ain’t I?”

Commentary said the future is brighter than ever.

Either way, Starks is finally under the WWE umbrella.
