And while his foe eventually worked his way into the center of the ring, that was what actually resulted in his demise, with Lister connecting with two dynamite body shots to send him crumbling toward the canvas to secure the first-round TKO.

While even legends are telling McGregor that it might be time to call it a day, the Dubliner has an unbreakable level of self-belief.

Having scaled the UFC mountain in not one but two-weight classes, he’s proven people wrong on many an occasion. And the warrior is convinced he can do it again.

However, this time, it could be in a different sport, with the 36-year-old zoning in on a match-up with BKFC.
