Jennifer Lopez eyeing $20 million mansion in Brentwood — near ex Ben Affleck: report

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly eyeing a $20 million mansion in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles — very close to where her ex-husband Ben Affleck currently lives.

Lopez recently toured the off-market estate, a source with direct knowledge told TMZ Friday.

The source said the multi-hyphenate “really likes” the property but has “serious concerns” about the air quality around it given the ongoing wildfires that have been burning since Jan. 7.

Lopez recently toured the off-market estate, which is located near her ex Ben Affleck’s new house, a source said Friday. Pictured here is a Brentwood rental property Affleck occupied before buying his new home.

According to the source, Lopez, 55, is fond enough of the place that she’s bringing in an air quality specialist to assess the area before proceeding with the purchase process.

Reps for the singer-actress did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

As for Affleck, the actor-director previously evacuated his own $20 million mansion — located on the border of Brentwood and Pacific Palisades — that he bought just a few months before the deadly Palisades Fire ignited.

As of Friday evening, the blaze — which destroyed almost the entire neighborhood of Pacific Palisades — was at 77 percent containment, but officials warn of the air quality throughout the whole county.

“Fire debris and ash contain harmful substances like heavy metals, asbestos and toxic chemicals,” LA County Department of Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer said at a press conference, according to ABC7.

“Heavy metals such as lead and arsenic can come from burned electronics and building materials,” she added, noting that “inhaled over a long period of time, [fire debris] can lead to chronic changes and … respiratory conditions.”

Affleck, 52, temporarily stayed with his first wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three children — Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12 — at the actress’ Brentwood home. He previously lived in a rental nearby.

However, the Oscar winner moved out of that property in September 2024 after purchasing his new house two months prior. Despite the ongoing Palisades Fire, he returned to that house on Jan. 8.

Meanwhile, Lopez “has been checking in on Ben throughout this whole ordeal” and “let him know she’s there for him and the kids,” an insider previously told Page Six.

Though the former spouses — who were married for two years — finalized their divorce earlier this month, they are still trying to offload their marital mansion in Beverly Hills, which is on the market for a reported $61 million.
