It appears Conor McGregor will be airborne throughout the first UFC pay-per-view of 2025.
‘Notorious’ will almost certainly still be watching the UFC 311 main event, which will see Islam Makhachev and Renato Moicano battle it out for the Irishman’s old lightweight belt after Arman Tsarukyan’s injury-induced late withdrawal from the card.
In the co-main event, bantamweight king Merab Dvalishvili will defend his belt against Umar Nurmagomedov, who is the cousin of Conor McGregor‘s most bitter UFC rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The former dual-weight champion usually tweets along during big fight nights, but only time will tell if he will do that while traveling stateside with his long-time coach, John Kavanagh.
Conor McGregor travels for Donald Trump’s inauguration
On Saturday, McGregor’s trainer shared a picture of them posing in front of a jet.
Kavanagh added the caption to explain they were heading across the pond on his 47th birthday.
However, that’s not the reason for their trip. McGregor is set to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration, and it appears Kavanagh will be his plus-one at Monday’s mammoth political event.
“Will be a memorable birthday! Heading to the inauguration with the champchamp,” Kavanagh captioned his Instagram post.
“Thanks for the invite @thenotoriousmma we’ve had some memorable Jan18ths!”
Dana White provides Conor McGregor update
McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
In recent weeks, rumors about boxing matches with Logan Paul and KSI have been gathering pace online.
UFC boss Dana White recently issued a public response to ‘Mystic Mac’ being courted by the world of boxing once again after making $100million to face Floyd Mayweather in 2017.
“No,” the MMA mogul replied when asked if McGregor is going to fight Paul during an appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast.
“No, no, no,” White added when the prospect of McGregor vs KSI was brought up.
“Hopefully, Conor McGregor returns in the fall of this year.”
