💥 The Last Train from Hiroshima.

Renowned filmmaker James Cameron has announced plans to direct an adaptation of Charles R. Pellegrino’s book, The Last Train from Hiroshima: The Survivors Look Back, once he completes his work on the Avatar sequels. The film will chronicle the harrowing experiences of Tsutomu Yamaguchi, a man who survived both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings during World War II. Cameron, who met Yamaguchi shortly before his death in 2010, feels a personal commitment to bringing this story to the big screen. In addition to adapting The Last Train from Hiroshima, Cameron has acquired the rights to Pellegrino’s forthcoming book, Ghosts of Hiroshima, aiming to merge both narratives into a single, uncompromising theatrical film. This project marks Cameron’s first directorial venture outside the Avatar universe since Titanic.
