Paul Rudd and Jack Black collaborate on a video to announce the release date of the Anaconda remake, providing a fresh update. A National Geographic film crew is compelled to cooperate with an obsessive hunter in order to capture the largest snake in the world in the 1997 film Anaconda. New installments were released in 2008 and 2009, with a sequel following in 2004. Following a 15-year hiatus, it was announced in August that filmmaker Tom Gormican was working on a comedy Anaconda remake, in which Daniela Melchior, Rudd, and Black would all star.
Sony now shares a new video featuring Rudd and Black on the Anaconda remake’s tropical-looking set, with the pair revealing that the film will hit theaters Christmas 2025. Though there’s some confusion over whether the movie will be called “Anaconda” or “The Anaconda,” Black does promise that “there’s gonna be a big f–king snake.”
