Fans call CM Punk a ‘legend’ for bizarre wardrobe choice at WWE house show

WWE house shows are known to not take things as seriously as the main shows like RAW, SmackDown and NXT. However, sometimes, they can go beyond what fans were expecting.

WWE is currently doing a line of house shows for the Holiday Tour at Madison Square Garden. While there are several matches lined up, none have any real consequences since it is not taped.

Among the list of matches was one involving Damian Priest in a steel cage. What made this match go viral on social media was the attire CM Punk decided to show up in.

CM Punk makes the save mid-shower?

Damian Priest was set to take on Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight title as part of the tour. Despite the matching being inside a steel cage, Ludwig Kaiser and Dominik Mysterio showed up to attack Priest. However, Priest had backup, a towel-clad, shower cap wearing, Punk.

One fan wrote: “Dude had A LOT of faith in that tuck?” Yes, Punk wrestled while wearing nothing but a towel.

Another fan wrote: “CM Punk had a shower thought and immediately sprung into action.” Punk did look like he ran out before even drying off.

Another fan wrote: “Bro really having more fun than he ever did before he left.” Fans at the arena went wild seeing Punk come out like this.

Another fan wrote: “Now that’s creativity in wrestling!! Popped the crowd in a towel and shower cap. Will be more memorable than any flip that happens that night.” This was the highlight of the night.

Fans want CM Punk and Seth Rollins to main event RAW’s Netflix debut

The WWE RAW debut on Netflix show is gearing up to be a historical event. With all the stars set to appear, fans are hyped. The number of matches and titles on the line has also piqued fan interest.

Punk will be facing Seth Rollins on the show, and so will Roman Reigns be facing Solo Sikoa in a match for the Ula Fala. While the stakes in the Reigns Sikoa match are much higher, fans want Punk and Rollins to be the main event.

Unfortunately, WWE has confirmed that the main event for the night will be Reigns vs Sikoa. Despite that the show is shaping up to be one that fans talk about for a long time.
