Just fresh from celebrating Thanksgiving with Ciara and the kids on Thursday. It’s yet another special day for the Wilson household as they prepare to celebrate Russ’s 36th birthday. As the Steelers QB steps foot into his late thirties, his teammate in black and gold didn’t forget to mock Russell Wilson for nearing old age.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Pat Freiermuth shared a clip of Wilson sitting in the locker room with the caption, “Ahaha Happy Birthday old man @dangerrusswilson”. But he didn’t have any idea that the Steelers TE was recording him until he jokingly asked, “Hi brother old man, what you 40? 45?” This got Russell Wilson’s attention as he waved back, smiling toward the camera.
Although it wouldn’t be the only wish from the Steelers Nation, Wilson was given the ultimate birthday tribute from his wife, Ciara. She took to X to post a heartwarming message that read, “To the Best Husband, Father, Friend, & Leader @DangeRussWilson, God did His Beautiful work when he made you! You always Love, Serve, Care, & Give big! I watch you in amazement everyday! You are a Legend in all ways! Loving you today and every day like it’s your Birthday! Forever, your biggest cheerleader! I love you so much @DangeRussWilson! HBD Baby!”
As Ciara pledged to be his biggest cheerleader, fans were equally excited about the message that she wrote for Wilson. One of the fans replied, “Happy birthday. That’s love. What a message.!!” And it wasn’t just a simple tribute as she attached a 50-second video compiling all of their lovely moments together. Well, that compilation started with a baby face Russ and transitioned into him kissing Ciara on the cheeks.
Apart from that, Ciara posted multiple pictures with Russ on her Instagram while slaying in black lingerie. While the couple could be busy celebrating together. They just had a memorable Thanksgiving, as the couple shared snaps on their Instagram.
Russ and Ciara celebrate Thanksgiving with the whole family wrapped in black and gold
Although there were three games on Thanksgiving, the Steelers weren’t a part of the program. So, Wilson took this opportunity to spend some quality time with Ciara and the kids. The Steelers QB took to his Instagram and posted an adorable picture of his wife and kids all wearing black and gold Steelers kit, “So much to be thankful for, Happy Thanksgiving!!.” He even followed it up with a picture of them in the zoo. It had Ciara and the kids posing in front of a giraffe.
Well, Ciara didn’t stay behind to share her gratitude for being blessed with such a lovely family. She hopped into the comments of Wilson’s post and wrote, “Truly so thankful for you and our babies! God is good!” After her husband’s post on Thanksgiving, Ciara shared a photo of their family on her Instagram with the caption, “God, Your love is true! My heart is full of love & gratitude. I’m so thankful. Happy Thanksgiving.”
As for Wilson, his true birthday gift would be a win against their divisional rivals, the Bengals, on Sunday. Winning that clash would all but secure the Steelers playoff spot for postseason.
