Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of “wearing out” their welcome in every place they have called home by a royal commentator.
Lee Cohen told GB News that he thinks the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥, 40 and 43, will be experiencing some anxiety over Prince Harry’s ongoing visa rows, with the couple reportedly becoming unpopular wherever they live.
Mr Cohen said: “Whether it’s Portugal or Canada, Montecito or Frogmore, wherever the Sus𝑠e𝑥es drop anchor they seem to wear out their welcome.
“Meghan and Harry might not be Trump’s priority but the fact the President’s (President-Elect) son has even commented on this shows it’s on his mind.
“It should give cause for some anxiety over in Montecito.”
The couple have been living in Montecito for four years since quitting life as senior members of the Royal Family in 2020.
While Meghan is an American citizen and does not need a visa to live in the country, along with her and Harry’s two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, the duke had to apply for his right to live in America.
However, since the release of his 2023 memoir Spare, which saw the prince admit to past drug use in his teenage years, concerns have been raised over whether Harry was truthful in his visa application, with past drug users often banned from moving to the States.
Conservative think-tank group The Heritage Foundation have been working hard in Washington DC since the release of the memoir to get the prince’s application documents made public to see whether he admitted to his past with drugs.
If the duke lied, lawyers believe Prince Harry could face deportation, especially under Donald Trump’s upcoming presidency, with the pair believed not to like each other.
Beverly Hills attorney Alphonse Provinziano told Mail Online: “Prince Harry’s lawyers will be busy over the next four years, as Trump has made it quite clear that if he returned to office, he would seek to have Harry removed from the country.
“The Biden administration had shielded Harry, and a lawsuit by the Heritage Foundation seeking more information was dismissed, but Trump may have the upper hand if it turns out that Harry was not forthcoming about his past drug use on his visa application, although he’s admitted it in his autobiography and various interviews over the years.”
