The producers of Ballerina, the John Wick spinoff, have yet to determine how much of Keanu Reeves’ hitman will be shown to viewers. Ana de Armas will play a dancer and assassin who was taught by the Ruska Roma in the new spinoff, which is set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4. The film was originally scheduled for release in June 2024, but it was postponed by a full year to accommodate major reshoots. Chad Stahelski, who directed the primary John Wick films, joined Ballerina director Len Wiseman to help with the reshoots.

Speaking with The Direct, Stahelski and producer Erica Lee were recently quizzed about how much of Reeves’ John Wick was expected in the new movie. Admitting that the movie is still being refined in the post-production phase, Lee suggested that they are still attempting to achieve the right balance concerning Wick’s inclusion. Nonetheless, she was confident that when he does show up “audiences will be really happy.”
