Ruben Amorim will take over Manchester United on the back of a positive result following a 3-0 victory against Leicester City at Old Trafford. United recorded their second win in as many games against the Foxes following a 5-2 win in the Carabao Cup at the end of last month.
Bruno Fernandes marked his 250th appearance for the club in the perfect fashion when he opened the scoring after 17 minutes. He also had a big part in the second goal, as his header in the 38th minute deflected off Victor Kristiansen to make it 2-0 before half time.
The game was sealed with less than 10 minutes to play when substitute Alejandro Garnacho curled the ball past Mads Hermansen. The three points means that Ruud van Nistelrooy is unbeaten as interim manager after taking temporary charge of United after the dismissal of Erik ten Hag.
It also sees United open up a three point gap between themselves and West Ham in 14th place. Here is a look at how United’s next five fixtures in all competitions look compared to who could be some of their rivals in the Premier League table.
