Conor McGregor reacts to behind-the-scenes Road House fight sequence rehearsals with Jake Gyllenhaal: “Put the work in”

Conor McGregor recently reflected on a behind-the-scenes clip of him rehearsing a fight sequence with Jake Gyllenhaal when the two were shooting for Road House. McGregor made his Hollywood debut in the film, which was a remake of the 1989 classic of the same name.

‘The Notorious’ played one of the antagonists, a man named Knox, and had a number of physical altercations with Gyllenhaal’s character throughout the movie. After a brief run in theatres, the movie was released on Amazon Prime back in March.

Whilst he didn’t earn any major nominations or awards, McGregor was praised for his role, and surprised fans with his acting ability. The movie also saw much of its plaudits come for the fight sequences that took place throughout, with McGregor and Gyllenhaal’s characters supplying most of the action by engaging in cinematic and brutal clashes.

Now, months on from its release, McGregor has taken a look back on his role and the work he put in. On his Instagram stories, the Irishman shared a behind-the-scenes clip featuring himself, as well as Jake Gyllenhaal, rehearsing one of the movie’s biggest fight sequences.

McGregor wrote in the caption:

“Put the work in, get the reward.”
