Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski may have been enjoying some time off over the festive break but he’s still been working hard.

The Poland international has posted a video on Instagram stories showing how he’s been undergoing some demanding workouts.

The footage shows Lewandowski on a treadmill wearing a futuristic looking mask. The equipment actually serves to simulate the effects of training at altitude.

Eagle-eyed fans will also note that Lewandowski is working out to ‘The Eye of the Tiger’ – a nod to Vitor Roque perhaps? The Brazilian has been nicknamed Tigrinho and rocked up at Barcelona on Wednesday to link up with Xavi’s team.

Vitor Roque will offer Xavi another option in attack and add further competition for places. Lewandowski has been a guaranteed starter since he arrived from Bayern but hasn’t been in great form recently and was criticised by Xavi during the team’s clash with Almeria.
