NBA Star Blake Griffin Scoops Up Another Los Angeles Home for $5.9 Million

NBA player Blake Griffin has just scooped up a 1936 two-story house in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles for $5.876 million.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom property was listed in May for $6.698 million with Jordana Leigh of Rodeo Realty. It went into contract in November with a reduced price of $5.995 million and closed earlier this month for $5.876 million, listing records show.

The buyer’s agent in this deal, David Berg of Compass, confirmed that the 31-year-old Mr. Griffin was the buyer. He declined to comment further.

Mr. Griffin, who played for the Los Angeles Clippers for nearly a decade before he was traded to the Detroit Pistons in 2018, spent $19.1 million on an all-new mansion in a gated-community in the area in April, property records show.

Designed in modern farmhouse style, the $19.1-million main mansion encompasses 10,000 square feet of living space. It also comes with a two-story detached guesthouse and a backyard pool with spa.

The latest purchase, featuring a traditional/quasi-colonial style, adds approximately 5,900 square feet of living space to his property portfolio, including formal living and dining rooms, a media room, a billiard room, a kitchen, and a family room with a fireplace and large windows, according to the listing.

Set on 0.53-acre parklike grounds secluded behind tall hedges, the property has a wrap-around terrace with covered seating and a fireplace, a pool with spa, and a guest suite with its own patio, according to the listing.
