Jennifer Lawrence Used a Few Minimalist Staples to Elevate a Controversial Sandal

She’s bringing back this trend in her own sophisticated way

Whether she’s strolling down the red carpet or the streets of New York City, fans of Jennifer Lawrence recognize and like her street style for its understated sophistication and consistently polished appearance. However, it doesn’t mean the actor can’t try some interesting – possibly even controversial – footwear. Now for the fuzzy sandal.

The former Hunger Games contestant was spotted out and about recently sporting the Row’s popular and fittingly named Teddy Bear slides in a rusty orange color. Using a mix of items from the Row and Loewe, such as a pale yellow drawstring leather purse and black wide-leg slacks, she enhanced the ensemble. She completed the ensemble with a loose-fitting beige turtleneck with delicate ruffles and narrow eyeglasses with a mustard yellow rim.

Lawrence’s husband, art gallerist Cooke Maroney, joined her for the Sunday promenade in New York, where he coordinated with her in a beige and black palette. Maroney wore a white T-shirt layered underneath a crisp beige button-up, a pair of black tapered trousers, dark brown sneakers from Vans, and black sunglasses.

When spending time together in the city, the couple frequently coordinates their simple outfits.

They wore matching white shirts in August. Lawrence wore an ivory vest with light-colored slacks, and Maroney paired a white T-shirt with pleated blue pants.

The couple went on a date night to see a movie later in the month. Lawrence wore a beige Co-ord by Ciao Lucia that included a flowy empire waist dress with a black bodice and a breezy button-up with cream buttons when he performed at their neighborhood theater. Maroney, for his part, dressed in black button-up, black pants, white T-shirt, and Vans sneakers.
