The title character of the 2017 American superhero movie Logan is played by Hugh Jackman. After X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and The Wolverine (2013), it is the third and last part of the Wolverine trilogy and the tenth movie in the X-Men film series. It became the best-reviewed film in the X-Men franchise, with many critics calling it one of the greatest superhero films ever made, and it was selected by the National Board of Review as one of the top ten films of 2017. It was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 90th Academy Awards, becoming the first live-action superhero film ever to be nominated for screenwriting.
