The crowd is divided in the first few minutes of the match. Kevin Owens shows that he knows his friend well, avoiding a “Cody Cutter” and a “Cross Rhodes” and taking the fight calmly and seriously. Kevin saw his chance to attack, but backed out at the last moment and connected with a Chop Block. Still, Owens kicked his friend’s affected knee at ringside and on his return to the ring attacked with a Stunner; Cody survives! Owens laments, and this makes him fall into two consecutive Cross Rhodes. Kevin Owens avoids the third impact and surprises Cody with a Stunner; TWO COUNT! Owens sees himself in control of the situation, and climbs into the corner to launch himself with a Swanton Bomb. Cody Rhodes receives his rival with his knees up and this opens the door for him to connect the definitive Cross Rhodes! CODY RHODES RETAINS THE UNDISPUTED WWE CHAMPIONSHIP!!
